The county clerk is an elected official elected to a nonpartisan office as provided in the Oregon Constitution and serves a term of four years. The county clerk is also the chief election official of the County.
The county clerk's office does not provide any court services. For court-related services please contact the Yamhill County Circuit Court at 503-434-7530.
Duties of the office include:
Official recordkeeper for Yamhill County
Administers the recording of all real property transactions
Clerk of the Board of Commissioners
Coordinates and records Property Value Appeals Board hearings
Maintains and records Military Discharge DD-214 records
Issues Marriage, Domestic Partnership, and Business Licenses
