Tax Review Opportunities
1. Meet with the Assessor's Office
The Yamhill County Assessor's Office welcomes the opportunity to explain your values, review your account and work with you to adjust property real market values where appropriate. All property is valued as of January 1, 2025. You may contact them at:

2. File a Petition
If you are not able to reach a compromise with the Assessor's Office, you have the option of filing a Property Value Appeals Petition form with the Yamhill County Clerk's Office before the end of business on December 31, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. Postmarks are acceptable.

The County Clerk's Office is the only office that can receive and accept your petition(s).
Hearings will begin in February and the process is completed by April 15th.

The forms listed below may be printed and filled out and must be filed with the appropriate County Clerk's office. Yamhill County charges a $40.00 petition filing fee.
Forms:
- Real Property Tax Petition Form (PDF) - Use this form to request a reduction of the value of your real property - land, buildings, manufactured structures, or industrial machinery and equipment.
- Personal Property Petition Form - Use this form to request a reduction of the value of your business personal property. Personal property is taxable in Oregon if it is currently being used or being held for use in a business or is floating property.
- Petition for Waiver of Late Filing Penalty Form (PDF) - Use this form to appeal the penalty assessed for the late filing of a real or personal property return.
- Authorization to Represent (PDF) - This form authorizes another person to sign a petition and appear at the hearing to act on their behalf.
