Business Information:

  • Yamhill County Community Care Organization shared grant opportunities and training available to not for profits. The Nonprofit Resource Roundup is hosting free seminars to assist not for profit staff and volunteers with tools for securing and managing grants.   • Are you a manufacturer? Yamhill County is gearing up to celebrate the power of manufacturing and inspire the next generation of makers through the 2025 Yamhill County Student Manufacturing Experience. This two-part fall event series connects local students with hands-on opportunities to explore careers, tour modern facilities, and discover the skills needed to thrive in today’s high-demand manufacturing workforce.   • CO-by the US Chamber offered this article on “10 trends small businesses can tap into for a ‘Prime Day’ Boost. For example: create urgency with countdowns and time sensitive offers; capitalize on the desire to support small and local businesses; target holiday shoppers; consider flexible payment options; create an easy shopping experience.
  • The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced they will publish the Consumer Price Index on Friday October 24, 2025. No other releases will be rescheduled until the resumption of regular government services. This release allows the Social Security Administration to meet statutory deadlines to ensure accurate and timely payment of benefits.
  • GrantWatch shared this article “How to know if a grant is worth your time-before you apply”.

Grants and Funding:

  • Business Oregon shared they continue to have funding opportunities available to business. Financing options include: Credit Enhancement Fund (CEF), the Entrepreneurial Development Loan Fund (EDLF), and the Oregon Business development Fund (OBDF). If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities, contact businessfinance@biz.oregon.gov.
  • The Start.Pivot.Grow offers $2,500 non-dilutive funds for small businesses to pay for essential expenses and invest in growth opportunities. The grant can cover commercial rent, utilities, inventory, professional development, software, marketing and bookkeeping services. Must be in business for at least two years, annual revenue of $50k or more, 1-2 employees including the owner. You can learn more here.
  • The AAUW Career Development Grants offer up to $8k for women interested in taking the next step in their STEM career. The grants fund accredited certificate, credential, or training programs of at least 400 instructional hours. They also offer funding for k-12 STEM initiatives for girls. You can learn more here.
  • Walmart Spark Good local grants of $250-5k are available for organizations that address the unique needs of local communities. The next round is open until October 15, 2025. You can learn more here.
  • Toast Changemakers Program offers $10k to restaurant owners who are actively fighting food insecurity in their communities. Must be independently owned, for-profit restaurant, café, food service business in the US. Applications are open until October 17th. You can learn more here.
  • The SBA’s National Small Business Week Awards is seeking nominations by December 8, 2025 at 7am. Due to the government shutdown, this program may be impacted.
  • The Worker’s Lab as part of the Innovation Fund offers mentorship, training and up to $200k in funding for worker-centered innovation. You can learn more here.
