County Administration

Overview

The Office of County Administrator was established through Yamhill County Ordinance 848 (PDF) on January 1, 2010. The County Administrator, Ken Huffer, is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the county and is appointed by the board to manage county operations and its service districts (if delegated) in accordance with policies, rules, procedures, ordinances, orders, and resolutions duly adopted by the Board of Commissioners as well as all applicable state and federal laws.  The County Administrator also serves as the County Budget officer and is responsible for overseeing and preparing the annual County budget. 

Justin Hogue is the Deputy County Administrator and Chief Operations Officer (COO). Kevin Perkins is the Deputy County Administrator and Public Information Officer (PIO). They work under the direction of the County Administrator, assist in all areas of administration as assigned, serve as Acting County Administrator in the County Administrator’s absence, and provide oversight of all central administration departments.

  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
