Tax Foreclosure Surplus Proceeds

Tax Foreclosure Surplus Proceeds are the amount of funds remaining after the County sells a tax foreclosed property and recovers the taxes, penalties, and costs. If you are a prior owner of record of a tax foreclosed property in Yamhill County that was subsequently sold, you may have surplus funds available to you. In the event that no claim for the Surplus Proceeds is received by the County within two years after the date of the property’s sale, the County will distribute the surplus funds as provided in ORS 275.
